Our long time supporters, Carhartt – Work In Progress, just opened their 4th UK store on London’s Shoreditch High Street.
I can’t believe it’s been 15 years since the original Neal Street store opened. Many a day I spent in early 00’s hanging out in the store basement with the old Covent Garden shop scene and London BMX crew. I think this was when I first met Toddy, but we just didn’t know it. Anyway, good times where had back then and it’s great to still be connected to the brand now.
Carhartt Europe has come a long way since then, and this new store shows that. It gives a thoughtful nod to the rich workwear heritage of the brand as well as respecting the history of it’s East End surroundings. Artist Pietro Sanguineti was commissioned to create a bespoke neon sign, which gives the shop front a clean look.
The store will showcase Carhartt’s top tier and collaborative products such as A.P.C. and maybe our archive of cosmic team t’s.
Go check the store when you’re next in town.
